Queensland Paediatric Cardiac Service
The Queensland Paediatric Cardiac Service provides care and treatment for children with heart disease.
The service includes a comprehensive range of clinical paediatric, materno-foetal, and outreach cardiology, invasive investigational facilities and cardiac catheterisation, with a range of interventional cardiology procedures.
We are dedicated to making sure that all children and young people with a heart disease have access to leading, life-changing care and are given the best possible chance of enjoying a healthier tomorrow.

Who can access this service?
The Queensland Paediatric Cardiac Service provides care for children and young people from birth to 18 years living in Queensland and northern New South Wales.
A formal referral from a health professional is required. Referrals are accepted from:
Appointments and admissions
Some cardiac procedures, like a heart operation or a cardiac catheter, require some planning beforehand.
For any appointment, please bring a list of your child’s current medications as well as copies of previous letters, test results and X-rays relevant to their medical condition.
