Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit
The Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides specialist mental health assessment and treatment within an inpatient setting. We provide care for young people aged between 14 and 18 years who are experiencing severe and/or complex mental health difficulties.
Young people who are admitted to our unit have complex mental health issues that require intensive inpatient treatment, including (but not limited to):
- eating disorders
- psychotic disorders
- other symptoms that impact on their functioning (e.g. feeling suicidal).
During an admission, our staff will work closely with young people and their families/carers to develop individualised goals that will assist the young person with their journey to recovery.
