Sepsis is a medical emergency and early diagnosis can be difficult.  A paediatric sepsis pathway is available for all Queensland Health clinicians. For General Practitioners sepsis red flags are included in Health Pathways - visit your regions portal.

The best chance to get better from sepsis is to treat it quickly.  So if you, a parent or carer is concerned: ask the question, could it be sepsis?
