Sepsis is a medical emergency and early diagnosis can be difficult. If you see a child with a possible infection: Stop, think, could it be sepsis?
Parents and carers: Stop, think, could it be sepsis? General practitioners: Stop, think, could it be sepsis? Paramedics: Stop, think, could it be sepsis? Emergency clinicians: Stop, think, could it be sepsis? Paediatric ward clinicians: Stop, think, could it be sepsis?
A paediatric sepsis pathway is available for all Queensland Health clinicians. For General Practitioners sepsis red flags are included in Health Pathways - visit your regions portal.
