Clinical Excellence is part of all we do at Children's Health Queensland. Our Clinical Excellence framework supports an understanding of what this means to us and how we foster an environment that supports Clinical Excellence through core principles.

These principles encourage us to:

  • reflect and explore where we're up to
  • consider how we can improve
  • consider what it will take to transform towards clinical excellence.

We use the principles to explore clinical excellence from different perspectives. As an individual, team and organisation, they help us make sure we're:

  • compassionate - we care about others and lead with kindness, professionalism and respect
  • inclusive - we create a safe welcoming environment that values diversity
  • innovative - we dream big and explore challenges with curiosity
  • adaptive - we listen, adapt and respond to the changing environment
  • collaborative - we partner with purpose for the best possible outcomes
  • appreciative - we celebrate success and learn from our experiences
  • outstanding - we foster knowledge, expertise and continuous quality improvement
  • accountable - we take responsibility to be our best and do our best.

The framework helps us continuously pursue our commitment to clinical excellence and deliver the best possible care for children and young people.
