We provide support to families whose child has been diagnosed with a permanent hearing loss. Our clinicians are social workers and psychologists who provide therapeutic intervention to families, enhancing early attachment relationships and family wellbeing.
The service assists families from initial diagnosis and throughout the early years, supporting caregiver wellbeing, promoting secure attachments, and facilitating access to local supports and early interventions that promote optimum child communication and positive developmental outcomes.
Using our services
You can use our service if you live in Queensland or Northern NSW and your baby or child:
- is aged between birth and 6
- is eligible for Medicare
- has been diagnosed with a permanent hearing loss
Appointments are provided face-to-face or via telehealth or phone.

Getting a referral
Your audiologist will send us a referral as soon as your child is diagnosed with permanent hearing loss. We will contact you to confirm we have received the referral. Referrals can also be made by your GP or you can self-refer.
