Welcome to the Community Hearing Screening Clinic. This clinic offers free hearing screening performed by an allied health assistant in the community.
Hearing screening can establish if your child has sufficient hearing for speech and language development or learning in the classroom.
Our clinic can screen children and young people aged from 9 months – 16 years. The screening is performed by an allied health assistant under the supervision of an audiologist.
Your child is eligible for hearing screening if you have concerns with any of the following:
- speech and language development
- pronunciation or speech clarity
- hearing
- learning and behaviours
- require a hearing screen as part of developmental / Behavioural assessments.
And meet the below requirements:
- Not accessing audiology or ear, nose and throat (ENT) services elsewhere.
- Live within our catchment areas.
- Have not had a hearing assessment within 12 months.
