The importance of art
Research shows the presence of visual art and involvement in creative activities contributes to positive health outcomes for patients. The arts provides patients, families, staff and visitors with a welcome distraction from what is sometimes a stressful environment. It’s also a reassuring reminder of the meaningful and enjoyable aspects of life.
