Simulation training packages

Optimus BONUS is a set of free simulation learning packs developed by our Simulation Training Optimising Resuscitation for Kids (STORK) team.

We’ve created the learning packs based on:

  • findings and recommendations from coroner's reports
  • expert advice from practising specialists
  • studies and evidence from paediatric research groups
  • quality and safety reports.

Each pack has simulations and teaching resources to help local educators train staff on specific health conditions. The packs also help you integrate new medical pathways into your processes and teach you how to test medical equipment.

Optimus BONUS is used by Australian and international health educators. It helps reinforce learning objectives from our Optimus CORE and PRIME courses. Optimus BONUS also helps resolve gaps in learning and teaches you about new paediatric health care protocols.

Who can use Optimus BONUS

Optimus BONUS learning packs are for staff involved in paediatric care including:

  • first and second tier responders including doctors and nurses
  • staff who work in emergency and intensive care settings.

You can use the packs in any medical setting.
