Our charity and volunteer partners
Children’s Health Queensland has many non-government organisation partners who bring important support to our patients and families. On-site at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, there are Children’s Hospital Foundation play volunteers and Starlight Captains offering entertainment and distraction from illness or injury. If you’re after some on-site support for your child, check out our Fun stuff for patients page.
As a parent, talking to someone who knows what you’re going through can be helpful, and many of our partner organisations offer information and invaluable peer support from parents who have been on a similar journey.
