ieMR – Administration Fundamentals (HBCIS/QM/PFM/ieMR)

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals covers a general overview of Queue Manager, Patient Flow Manager and the electronic medical record (ieMR). This course also covers HBCIS processes, including patient registration, transfer, patient leave and discharge.

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals runs every Wednesday 0800 – 1200.

Outpatient Admin Officer, Community Admin Officer and Relievers

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals (HBCIS/QM/PFM/ieMR), ieMR – Administration ESM

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals covers a general overview of Queue Manager, Patient Flow Manager and the electronic medical record (ieMR). This course also covers HBCIS processes, including patient registration, transfer, patient leave and discharge.

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals runs every Wednesday 0800 – 1200.

ieMR – Administration ESM covers an overview of the Enterprise Scheduling Manager (ESM), as well as more in-depth workflows including booking from request lists, rescheduling appointments, booking follow-up appointments and placing patients back onto a waitlist.

ieMR – Administration ESM runs every Thursday 0830 – 1630.

Procedural Bookings Admin Officer

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals (HBCIS/QM/PFM/ieMR), ieMR – Hospital Procedure Bookings

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals covers a general overview of Queue Manager, Patient Flow Manager and the electronic medical record (ieMR). This course also covers HBCIS processes, including patient registration, transfer, patient leave and discharge.

ieMR – Administration Fundamentals runs every Wednesday 0800 – 1200.

ieMR – Hospital Procedure Bookings covers an introduction to SurgiNet and Procedural Bookings in ESM. This course runs once a month on Friday 1230 – 1630.

Hospital Dietitian

ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals, ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List

The ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals course covers the basic required knowledge of PowerChart for Allied Health professionals, including navigating the chart, creating and managing patient lists and documentation in the patient’s chart.

This course is run on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month 0900 – 1100.

The ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List (MPTL) course covers an introduction to the MPTL, task management and ordering follow up appointments.

The MPTL course is run on the first Wednesday of every month 1100 – 1200.

Hospital Physiotherapist

ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals, ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List, ieMR – Allied Health Medication Management

The ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals course covers the basic required knowledge of PowerChart for Allied Health professionals, including navigating the chart, creating and managing patient lists and documentation in the patient’s chart.

This course is run on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month 0900 – 1100.

The ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List (MPTL) course covers an introduction to the MPTL, task management and ordering follow up appointments.

The MPTL course is run on the first Wednesday of every month 1100 – 1200.

The ieMR – Allied Health Medication Management course covers basic ordering principles for credentialed Physiotherapists to order hypertonic saline. This course is run on an ad hoc basis – to book, please email CHQ_DigitalFuture@health.qld.gov.au or speak with your line manager.

Pharmacist

ieMR – Pharmacy

The ieMR – Pharmacy course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of ieMR PowerChart and PharmNet, including complex medication ordering and medication verification.

Pharmacy Assistant

ieMR – Pharmacy Assistant

The purpose of this session is to provide participants with an effective understanding on how to navigate PowerChart and PharmNet to supply verified medications and to generate discharge medication reports.

Hospital Allied Health

ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals, ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List

The ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals course covers the basic required knowledge of PowerChart for Allied Health professionals, including navigating the chart, creating and managing patient lists and documentation in the patient’s chart.

This course is run on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month 0900 – 1100.

The ieMR – Allied Health Multi Patient Task List (MPTL) course covers an introduction to the MPTL, task management and ordering follow up appointments.

* Only certain Allied Health disciplines will require MPTL training – please speak to your line manager to identify whether you require this training.

The MPTL course is run on the first Wednesday of every month 1100 – 1200.

Community Allied Health

ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals, ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler*

The ieMR – Allied Health Fundamentals course covers the basic required knowledge of PowerChart for Allied Health professionals, including navigating the chart, creating and managing patient lists and documentation in the patient’s chart.

This course is run on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month 0900 – 1100.

ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler covers the scheduling system of the ieMR, referred to as ESM. In this session we cover basic ESM functionality, and booking new and review appointments.

ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler is run twice a month.

Allied Health Students

ieMR – Allied Health Students

The ieMR – Allied Health Students course introduces Allied Health students to the ieMR PowerChart and provides a general overview of the electronic record, including documenting and forwarding progress notes.

The Allied Health Students course is run on an ad hoc basis. Please email CHQ_DigitalFuture@health.qld.gov.au to book in.

Orientation

For Medical rotations, all training will be organised by your department through Medical Workforce on your behalf.

For all other Medical training, we offer the following sessions on an ad hoc basis:

  • ieMR – Medical SAA Extension (4 hours)
  • ieMR – Medical Surgical Extension (4 hours)
  • ieMR – Medical Students (1 hour)

Inpatient and Agency Nurses

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart, Care Delivery and CareCompass, Basic and Advanced Medications Management.

This course is suitable for all commencing Inpatient Nurses, as well as current LCCH employees returning from extended leave.

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on Thursday).

Outpatient Nurse

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals (first 2 hours), ieMR – Nursing Outpatients Extension

The first two hours of ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart and basic Care Delivery.

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on the Thursday).

The Nursing Outpatients Extension covers ieMR workflows specific to Outpatient areas, including Scheduling View, Nurse initiated ordering, Cross-Encounter PowerPlan management, saving favourites and basic medication management.

The Nursing Outpatients Extension runs on Thursday of Orientation Week 1000 – 1300.

PICU Nurse

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals (first 2 hours), PICU Extension

The first two hours of ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart and basic Care Delivery.

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on the Thursday).

The PICU Extension covers PICU-specific workflows in the ieMR, including medications management and the PICU discharge process.

PICU Extension is run on Thursday of Orientation Week 1000 – 1200.

Theatre Nurse

The first two hours of ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart and basic Care Delivery.

The first two hours of ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart and basic Care Delivery.

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on the Thursday).

ieMR Nursing Pre- and Postop Extension is booked separately through your Team Leader / NUM.

Emergency Nurse

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals, ieMR – Nursing FirstNet Extension

Emergency Nurses will attend ieMR –Nursing Emergency Fundamentals until 1:30pm. Nursing Emergency Fundamentals covers PowerChart Overview, Specimen Collection, Care Delivery and Medications Management.

ieMR –Nursing Emergency Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800 – 1330 (except orientation weeks, when it is run on the Thursday). To book into this course, please enrol via TeachQ.

ieMR – Nursing FirstNet Extension covers an introduction to FirstNet LaunchPoint, ED Floor Plan and Tracking List, as well as ED Care Delivery. To book into the FirstNet extension, speak with your ED Team Leader / NUM.

Student Nurse

ieMR – Nursing Students

The ieMR – Nursing Students course covers a basic introduction to PowerChart, including forwarding documentation and basic medications overview.

The Nursing Education Team will make all bookings for the Nursing Students course via email to CHQ_DigitalFuture@health.qld.gov.au

Assistant in Nursing (AIN)

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals (first half of the day)

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals (half day) covers a general overview of PowerChart, Care Delivery and CareCompass, and Basic Medications Management.

ieMR – Nursing Fundamentals is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on Thursday).

Community Nurse

ieMR – Community Nursing, ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler

ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler covers the scheduling system of the ieMR, referred to as ESM. In this session we cover basic ESM functionality, and booking new and review appointments.

ieMR – Community Nursing is run once a month on Monday 1430 – 1630. ieMR – Community Clinical Scheduler is run twice a month on Tuesday 0800 – 1100.
